Peachstate Speedway

After a couple of series rainouts and a missed make-up race Team Clean Returned to Peachstate Speedway to take on the high speed half mile.
After a great practice session in the afternoon heat, Elliott and crew took to qualifying. Elliott was informed earlier in the day due to a technical mishap the Team Clean car would only be allowed one qualifying lap. This was detrimental to the team, as history has shown most cars are faster on their second lap. Nonetheless, Elliott qualified the car 26th out of 30 cars (a great field of racers).
Team Clean took the green flag and immediately made progress passing 6 cars on the first two laps; an early caution bunched the field leaving Elliott pinned behind several racers. Unfortunately two of the cars in front of Elliott got together, with one driver spinning Elliott was unable to avoid the wreck and made contact with the spinning car. Damage to the car seemed minor, but the handling immediately went away. The Team was able to continue after several pit stops to remove damaged parts and to adjust on the car.
