Coming off some successful top ten runs and one disastrous 13th place finish Elliott and the Team Clean Crew scored their second top five of the season at Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson S.C.
The team has been showing consistency that hasn’t been there in the past, which has helped us maintain the third spot in the overall point standings for the season, and with just 6 races remaining it will be imperative to continue to do so.

Re-grouping from an accident at Peachstate Speedway that left the team with its only non-top ten finish, Anderson proved to be what we needed to get back on track. Elliott qualified the Monte Carlo 8th on the field but felt we had a better car than our starting spot showed. Within the first laps of the race it was evident we indeed had something for the leaders. Going green for the first 24 laps helped Elliott steer the car into a comfortable 6th place spot at the first caution. Continuing through out the field as a few cautions marred the next 10 laps or so Elliott began his charge to the front. With a lengthy 60 plus lap green flag run Elliott found him self in 4th contending for 3rd in the late stages of the 100-lap event. After an extended battle with a few lapped cars Elliott had gotten trapped into relinquishing 4th and with just a couple laps remaining was posted in 6th a last lap pass moved Elliott to 5th were he finished.

Elliott was able to keep the car free of damage at the treacherous 3/8 mile bull ring know for its rough surface and tight corners. This was an accomplishment in itself and is greatly appreciated by all who have to spend many hours preparing the car for each event. No one more so than Elliott!

The team remains third in points with a slim lead over fourth but have steadily gained on second. Thanks to Dave the crew and all who have been supporting us. It has been great seeing you all at the track rooting us on.
